Modeling always demand much, regardless to the gender. There are some limitations to get into the field. But, these limitation varies depending on the gender. A male model usually enters in their 20's, where as a female model enters into the field in their teenages. But, both of them stand great chances for the career growth based on their dedication towards their profession.

Also, the money that a male model can make is comparitively less than what a female model makes. Physical requirements:
Your head will not be counted, if you look unfit for modeling. Now, you might get this question in your mind: "How do I know whether I'm fit or not?". Here comes the answer. A general male model should have the following.
1. Height - Should not be less than 5 feet 11 inches and more than 6 feet 3 inches. No worries if you are a bit taller or shorter. But, not more than 2 inches in any case.
2. Chest - 28 to 40 inches.
3. Waist - 30 to 32 inches.
4. Inside leg - 32 or more inches.

Eventhough there are exceptional cases physique, the above mentioned figures are of "industry standard" and are expected by famous agencies.

The next part is, age. This is where male model gets advantage. You might have seen many male models who have a successful career record and shines well even at the age of 40+. But, there are only a few number of female models who flashes in the minds of young generation, even at their 40's. The thing that has to be noted is, only the men who stay fit can go ahead with modeling regardless to the age. Remember the words, "Survival of the Fittest".

Next comes is the hot parts of the male model that are counted. The top results are hair, lips and the physique. When creating your portfolio, you are advised to focuson these parts. Shot close-ups with your appealing looks. All men don't have same type of physique. So, depending on your structure, you choose the best fit for you.

A fashion model cannot play their role in fitness shows. But, a fitness model can get jobs all over the country, not only in commercial towns.
